Books Made Into Movies: Cool Hand Luke By Donn Pearce....

Not a lot of people know that the classic movie COOL HAND LUKE staring the late great actor Paul Newman was first a novel.

Directed By Stuart Rosenberg in 1967 COOL HAND LUKE  is a story about Lucas Jackson a decorated Korean War hero who is sentenced to 2 years in prison , working on a Florida chain gang, for one drunken night of mischief.

I discovered the movie version of COOL HAND LUKE one night on PBS, and it has become one of my all time favorites. Paul Newman steals every scene, you will laugh, cry, and fall in love with this movie.

I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars, a must see!
