America The Beautiful and its sequel are documentaries about self imagine in The United States. A very informative, entertaining look at the beauty industry as well as the weight issues and beauty issues of the average American.
The original film featured model / reality tv star Gerren Taylor, then a 12 year old supermodel in the making, she for awhile was considered the new Naomi Campbell, but by the end of the movie at 15 years old, 6 feet tall and maybe 115 lbs she became unhirable, because her hips had slightly grown over time , not meeting the required size for a runway model.
The Sequel takes a shocking look at what is considered Obese in today's society. You will not believe what our culture considers obese these days.
Both films get 5 out of 5 stars. I love great documentaries and I think you will enjoy both films.
